The scene opens in the gymnasium where we see Alex Nelson sparring with a gym trainer, working on his kicks and jabs.

(He’s dressed in black shorts, white grappling gloves and kick pads)

After a few minutes of back and forth with kicks, punches and forearms into the trainers pads, Nelson pauses and sits down on the ring apron, facing the hard camera.

“Who would I be if I didn’t take a lesson from my compatriots, much less my opponent…”

“You’re right Fiona, I’ve never properly introduced myself, why I’m here, what I want from my time here, and why I’ll either tap you out, or knock you out…”

He removes his pads, slides off the apron and puts on a grey CWF t-shirt.

"My name is Alex Nelson, the son of Hardcore Icon, Steve Murdock, but unlike him, I’m not into hardcore wrestling, I’m not into death matches, I’m not my father’s son, in that respect.”

“I wrestled in high school, actual wrestling, Olympic style wrestling, I was a stand out, an All-American and after I graduated, I wanted to go to college to study sports medicine, and I still will, but life sometimes throws you a curve ball.”

“I found out my biological father was a wrestler my mother met in Texas Pro Wrestling in Dallas, I got to meet him in the locker room during a CWF pay per view  and he’s taken me under his wing, sort of.”

He walks into the gym’s locker room and sits down at a wooden bench.

“But just as a sidebar, I’m not just learning via YouTube about Japanese wrestling, I’m incorporating it into my own style, soon my submission holds will be tighter, my kicks will be sharper, my strikes will be hard, no more punches pulled.”

“Now as to the why, I’m here, not only to learn about my father, but about myself, whether I can stand up in high pressure situations, not necessarily life and death every match, but whether I can actually rise to the occasion.”

“But I haven’t been able to…so far…which behooves the change, that doesn't mean I’ve conceded our match, I’m just not dumb enough to underestimate my opponent, again, you’re good Fiona, obviously, but I will not shrink when the bell rings, period.”

“As to long term goals, the Skirmish Championship, even the Valor title would be a great reward after being deemed worthy of those titles,  but I know I’m not there yet, I’m not where I want to be yet, I’ll get, there, my father’s shadow is long, but it’s not impossible to get out of, and at Warzone, you’ll see what The Bastard Son can do.”
