About Valora

Greenville, South Carolina~

Civil Warfare had been good for Kara.  She had finally earned her shot at Valora and she had not wasted the opportunity.  She and Valora fought, beat each other bloody and took a tour around the arena as they battled each other.  Kara had proven her point.  She was now the first and thus far the only CWF wrestler that could claim they had defeated Valora and she had also left the match understanding why her brother gave Valora the respect he did.

At least 3 times during the fight, she had been sure she had broken Valora only to watch in amazement as the woman refused to quit and pushed herself to continue.  In the end, she had beaten Valora unconscious, or, at the least, to the point of not being able to answer a 10 count.

She had not been in action during cycle 6 of the 5th season of CWF, but she had had a meeting where Valora picked her to go after the Conquest championship.

The Conquest championship.  The same belt Kara had wanted for some time but she had had the feeling Valora had been preventing her from going after.  Now the same women she had once viewed as obstructing her path to the title was not only allowing her to go for it, but giving her blessing and even relying on her to dethrone Samael Drago,

Samael.  Only her brother Kronin had been able to beat him,.  Abigail failed.  Apathy failed.  And Valora wasn’t relying on them.  She was turning to Kara.

Arlington National Cemetery.

Washington, D.C.~

Kara spent the first day in D.C. fulfilling a promise to herself and visiting various monuments.  The last stop on her tour of monuments was Arlington.  She looked at her smartphone, double checking her notes.  She was not just here to wander.  There were specific people she was here to visit.  She was standing at one of the graves when a man walked up to her and showed his credentials, marking him as an FBI agent.  “Special Agent Johnson.  I have a few questions, if you have a moment.”  He then looks at the grave and then to Kara.

Kara, for her part, anticipated the next question and nodded.  “I served with him in Afghanistan.”

Special Agent Johnson’s eyes raised a bit at that.  “I wasn’t aware you served in the American military.”

Kara frowned.  “German.  Contrary to the fantasies of the president, NATO allies fought, bled and died alongside American soldiers in Afghanistan.  You mentioned you had questions?”

Johnson cleared his throat and nodded.  “I read your file.  You were the German equivalent of the FBI, yes?”

Kara rolled her eyes.  “Yes.  Also GSG-9.  Counter terrorism specialists.”

Johnson nodded.  “We have one of the people responsible for the chemical attack in custody already.  I was wondering if you could give me your take on what happened.  You have law enforcement credentials.  You know the information we need and might be able to help us.”

Kara remained silent for a moment as she considered this.  In the end, her lawful nature won out and she nodded.  “The Eternal Grove must be considered a terrorist cell.  They drugged the entire crowd.  I’ve heard mentions of mind control being made, but if that’s the goal, I don’t think they’re there yet.  The crowd reacted like they were having a psychotic episode.  Everyone dosed with it has acted as someone suffering a violent psychotic break.  Those that have given statements all said some variation of the same thing.  Audio and visual hallucinations which caused panic first and increased rage and aggression response.  You’re an American so let me give you a metaphor.  This is more like Scarecrow and his fear toxin than it is true mind control.”

Johnson took notes and nodded.  “My superiors think along the same lines.  Classifying them as terrorists.  They do seem to think mind control is the goal.  The prisoner we have now mentioned that South Carolina was a test.”

Kara nods.  “Makes sense.  Deploy it en masse, note the results.  If your superiors are right, they’re far away from true mind control, but the current form is dangerous enough.”

“We’re trying to apprehend them but thus far the ownership of CWF seems unwilling to cooperate with us.”  Johnson said.

Kara shrugged.  “They seem to think they can handle this in house.  Valora has pretty much tasked me with taking them apart.”

“Valora Salinas.  She’s pretty much a terrorist herself.”  Johnson began.  “She’s got enough on her record that we can strip her citizenship and deport her ass.”  Johnson said with a shrug.

Kara looked at him.  “The woman waged a war against the Mexican drug cartels.  She has put herself at risk more than once and you’re going to punish her because she has brown skin and she hurt your fuhrer’s feelings?”

“Careful, Ms. Reinhardt.  We can revoke your VISA and send you back to Europe.  Or, you know, some other country.”

Kara narrowed her eyes.  “But you won’t because you need my help and because if you have any sense of observation at all, you know the fascist won’t be in power for much longer.  Your credentials seem to indicate you were an FBI agent prior to round 2 of the current regime.  If you’re serious about taking down the Eternal Grove, you’re going to need help.”

Johnson said nothing, but turned and walked away, which was an answer in and of itself.  As for Kara, she knew her next stop.

A request

Valora’s Hotel Room

Washington D.C.~

Kara sat at the bar with Valora.  Valora had her tequila and Kara was drinking a beer.  Valora leaned back in her seat.  “So.  You wanted to see me, chica?  Whatcha want?”

Kara shrugged.  “Eternal Grove.  You want to start hurting them.  I don’t care which one, but I want one of them.”

Valora thinks for a moment.  “Well, Karlie earned a title shot.  Vespertine is in jail, Gotta save you vs. Drago and Kriegson is taking on your brother.. I could throw you Mick Brandon?  He’s trying hard to join them.”

Kara shrugs.  “He’ll do.  Be forewarned.  I’m going to break him.”

Valora grins.  “I expect nothing less, chica.  I’ll have the match booked later today.  You can start preparing.”

Kara nodded and finished her beer and then it was once more time for her next meeting.

The Masquerade

Kara’s hotel room

Washington, D.C.~

Kara’s mistress sat in the room, next to her stood a woman who was dressed like a biker girl.  Kara’s mistress shrugged.  “I’m unhappy people know about us. I’m going to have to do something about that.”

Kara points to the biker girl.  “She has been harassing my niece.  Who by the way, has magic and knows about vampires already.”

“But your brother didn’t have prior knowledge.  Even so, they seem bound and determined to get in my business.  You are running out of time.  If you don’t take care of this, I will.”  Kara’s mistress said, baring her fangs for added effect.

Kara narrows her eyes.  “Careful.  I won’t tolerate threats to my family.”

Kara’s Mistress looks right back at her.  “I’m not making a threat.  I’m stating a fact.  You’re mine.  If your family won’t accept that.  I’ll have to deal with them.”

Kara shrugs.  “They haven’t done anything yet.  Rayven is busy with someone.  And our group is busy with the Eternal Grove.”

The biker girl chimed in.  “Her niece is Roma.  You know how we feel about them.”

Rebecca leaned back in the seat and sighed.  “I can’t afford to take a risk, Kara.  I’m incredibly powerful.  But I also have periods of vulnerability.  If I don’t act and they decide to act first..”

Kara turns to the biker girl.  “You’ve been following Rayven.  Can you tell me who she’s seeing.”

The biker girl shrugged.  “They fae girl.”

Kara took out her phone and pulled up Abigail’s picture on the CWF roster.  “Her?”

The biker girl nodded.  “Yeah, that’s her.”

Kara nods and turns to Rebecca.  “Look.  We both know you’ve taken precautions to limit your vulnerability.  If it will help, I’ll look after you during the day when I can.  But if you attack my family without them having attacked you first.. We’re going to have a big problem.”

Rebecca stands up and nods.  “I’ll take you up on that.  I’ll let you know where I’m staying.  I’m not kidding.  If they attack me, or if I believe an attack is imminent, I will kill every single one of them.  Unless you’d rather I feed them my blood and make them my ghouls as well?  I need to ensure they’re not a threat.  There are two tried and true methods to do that.  If you don’t want me using either of them, find a way to keep them out of our business.”  Rebecca says as she walks over and traces her finger up Kara’s neck and along her lips.

Kara nods.  “I’ll take care of it. I would think you and your partners would be concerned about the Eternal Grove..”

Rebecca nods.  “Alright.”  She then considers the next part.  “Why?”

Kara takes out her smartphone and pulls up the end of the pay per view.  Rebecca watches it and frowns. Kara clears her throat.  “In addition to the black rain, one of their members has made reference to herself as a vampire, collecting souls for her dark buddha.”

Rebecca considers this.  “Well, mortals can write off most of that, but maybe this does merit some more investigation.  After your next show, we’ll get together and you can talk to me more about them then.”

Kara nods as she listens and makes a mental note.  “On that note.  I should begin preparing.”  She says as she finishes up her meeting with Rebecca, including getting her next dose of vampire blood.  Then it was back to work.

Training

Hotel Gym

Washington D.C.~

Kara grabbed hold of the bar and, with a grunt, lifted it up to her hips then a second lift saw her lift the weight over her head.  As she went through her workout routine, her mind was focused on her opponent.  Mick Brandon.  An enhancement talent with delusions of becoming a real wrestler.  A traitor who sold his soul for the promise of glory but in reality went from being a trainer with CWF to being a lackey for the villains.  An expendable asset to be thrown at the enemies of the Eternal Grove.

~On Camera Promo

Delusions of Importance

Washington D.C,~

‘Catch These Fists’ by Wet Leg plays to open the promo.  Off to the side, we can see Kara standing leaning against the wall bopping her head to the music.  After the song ends, Kara walks up and lowers the sunglasses she wears and nods before completely removing the sunglasses and tucking them in a pocket on the inside of her coat.  “Mick Brandon.  Delusional fool.  You believe you are somehow special.  That for some reason, the rules do not apply to you.  Obviously, you are mistaken.”

Kara shakes her head.  “Call it main character syndrome if you want.  I prefer to call it delusions of importance.  Not grandeur.  Grandeur would imply that you believe you are someone special.  A chosen one, so to speak.  That is not your problem.  Your problem is you are a broken NPC.  A NPC who believes they are the main character.”

Kara smirks and shakes her head.  “You’re not.  You had a chance to be someone.  You could have mattered by working as the role you were assigned.  Enhancement Talent.  Testing newcomers and helping younger talents learn the arts of wrestling.  But no.  You decided you would rather be a lackey.  An expendable asset.  Canon fodder..  See, your masters in the Eternal Grove.  The REAL members of the cult, they see their enemies multiplying.  They are beginning to feel that cold tinge of fear run up and down their spines.  So they find useful idiots like you to sacrifice.  Understand Mick.  Not a single one of your Masters honestly believes you have a snowball’s chance in hell of beating me and they certainly don’t plan on helping you out.  Not after I’ve built a reputation for taking on and beating the entire nKo.  For beating Akame and Abigail in a handicap match.  Beating Valora Salinas.  Not a single member of the Grove is willing to risk themselves in combat against me.”

Kara shrugs.  “So enter you.  The useful idiot.  Hoping maybe I slack off and enable you to pull off a miracle.  Failing that, that maybe you can soften me up. Or to but the Eternal Grove one more week to convince useful idiots that they can win and thus gain more idiots to sacrifice against their enemies.  In the end, Mick.  That’s all you are to them.  A delaying tactic.”

Kara cracks her knuckles.  “To me?  You’re just the first fool I destroy on my path to the Conquest title.  Because while you’re just a useful idiot, I won’t go easy on you.  I’m coming to fight and I will end you.  You chose the wrong side and now you’re going to pay for that choice.  Auf Wedersehen.”

The camera fades to black as Kara turns and walks away.
