Samael Drago, formerly just Drago, has been everywhere that a young wrestler can, and has achieved more than most can say at his young age. Wrestling since the age of 14, he was trained by the legendary Canadian wrestler Kevin "The Extreme" Smith, and soon would make debut in the indy circuit, earning fame as an explosive technician in the ring. Soon, he would go on to wrestle in Mexico as the masked Luchador, "Eterno". After having learnt the Lucha Libre style of wrestling, his next goal was to conquer Japan, where he would be trained by another legendary grappler, "Satoshi Ichigawa". During his time in Japan, word got out that WSE, the American promotion, was on a hunt for new wrestlers to make their mark in America. Drago was one of the many to try to make a name in WSE. His first-ever match in WSE? Drago lost. But what would follow was a career no less than extraordinary. In just about 2 years, Drago would go on to become one of the most prolific tag team champions in the company's history, not to mention the longest reigning tag champion ever. His tag team with one of his allies would be named in the industry as the greatest tag team ever. After that, he would go on to win the WSE World Championship, the WSE ECW Championship, and the WSE Intercontinental Championship, the latter leading to a famed rivalry with "Alpha Male" David Falcon. Fans attest Falcon's subsequent rise to stardom as being catapulted first, by his feud with Drago. His run in WSE, thus, would become legendary - earning praise as one of the greatest 'heels' to ever wrestle in the company. His character, "Mr. Do-Anythin'-To-Win" would become iconic. His feud, as part of the stable Resistance, against the WSE heel stable Syndicate, would go on to be acclaimed as the greatest feud in history. Drago also hosted a plethora of shows, such as WSE Tough Enough and WSE Immortal Battleground. He also invented a widely used match in the WSE. Later, WSE would shut down, and Drago would be out of a job. He spent 2013 working on his music career. Soon, in 2014, he would be called back to be inducted into the WSE Hall of Fame Class of 2014. More than a decade later, Drago, now adopting the name "Samael Drago", has perfected his decade-long wrestling experience, believing himself to be 'Wrestling' itself. Industry outlets have often named him, "one of the greatest technicians to have ever laced up the boots", and Drago aims to uphold that reputation. He calls himself "The Academic", a reference to his virtuoso-like wrestling ability, and his intellect and love for the arts - wrestling and philosophy alike. Soon, he would join "The Annwn", along with his teammate, "The Hound of the Annwn" Viktor Kriegsen, and rechristen himself as "Moonchild" Samael Drago. Drago lost his father to Ginger Crowley, a notorious mob boss, after he failed to repay his gambling debts. Soon after, his mother committed suicide. An orphan, he was found by Boss Masamune from the famed Yakuza Masamune family. They allowed him to wrestle, and took him to Japan, where he was trained by Strong Style Guru Satoshi Ichigawa. Throughout the years, he earned the nickame "The Vitruvian". Later in life, he trained under the legendary Canadian bare knuckle brawler and wrestler, the five-time Canadian Prairie Wrestling World Champion, Kevin "The Extreme" Smith. Drago, on numerous occasions has said he owes his resilience and "wrestling-as-philosophy" mindset to him. Due to a Masamune given task in his younger days, which haunted him perpetually, Drago, on the day of his coronation to being a Made-Man in the Masamune, killed the Boss. Matsuda, the underboss, took it personally, as he had never accepted Drago. Since then, Matsuda has been heading the Masamune, and lies waiting for Samael Drago to falter, so he can strike again.

Theme Song TitleMoonchild
Theme Song ArtistFields of the Nephilim
EntranceWhen the first notes of "Moonchild" by Fields of the Nephilim hit, snow begins to fall on the ramp on. Drago is slowly lifted up from under the ramp. The spotlight follows him throughout, as he stands there quietly. Lights go out everywhere except for on Drago. Then as the verse begins, Drago makes his way to the ring, dressed in his iconic Dragon-scales jacket. As he makes his way to the ring, he scans the ringside to see the audience.

As the chorus hits- "Moonchild, lower me down, lower me down", Drago gets into the ring slowly, taking a second to process the reaction of the crowd. He stops in the middle, unfazed by anything. He slowly takes off his jacket. Ready for war.
AppearanceSamael Drago has medium length raven black hair. Silky smooth and straight, that's parted down the middle. He has thick black eyebrows and eyes that are also black in colour. He has some stubble on his face, which he grows out sometimes, but it varies greatly.

He is 5'10" in height, and 220 lbs or about 100 kgs in weight. He has a stocky build like the ancient Greek statues of old. One look at him and you know, this guy means business. He has no tattoos and no scars, but his grimace and his composure showcase a stoic and serious man.

Special Move 4

Special Move 5

Finisher #1

Lunar Cascade (2026-Present)

Finisher #1 Description

Drago takes his elbow guards off to signal the move. He pop-ups a running or standing opponent, and as the opponent falls back down to the mat, Drago performs a rising elbow strike straight into the temple of the opponent. Imagine Kevin Owens Pop-Up Powerbomb movement, where he lifts the opponent right before the powerbomb. Drago, instead of performing the powerbomb, performs the rising elbow strike to the temple of the opponent.

Finisher #2

The Ode of Unholy (2012-Present)

Finisher #2 Description

An invention from the innovative mind of Samael Drago. Its technical name is Cradled Jumping Dragon-Corkscrew Neckbreaker. Drago puts his opponent in a DDT-position, cradles the opponent's leg akin to a fisherman's suplex, and then dragon corkscrews the opponent (akin to a reverse cross-rhodes), both him and opponent jump-twisting, and landing in a neckbreaker position.

Submission Finisher

Achilles Leg Lock (2024-Present)

Submission Finisher Description

The standard Pankration Achilles Leg Lock, where Drago grabs a hold of an opponent's Leg and trips them and now on both their backs, Drago holds one leg of the opponent, while using his own leg to shield himself from any wary attacks and using one arm to pull the trapped leg of the victim.

In-Ring Personality

Very stoic, calculated. Almost like a lone wolf circling its prey. Drago uses his technical prowess as a weapon against opponents of all sizes.

In-Ring Tactics

1. The Head-Tilt: Drago has a very slow, methodical movement style in the ring (especially as the "Moonchild" character). When attacked with a big strike, he often staggers back, and tilts his head at the opponent eerily, which often unnerves the opponent.

2. Marionette Rising: Often when down, Drago gets back up in an unnatural way. With all of his limbs following an unnatural rhythm. His right leg keeping his weight first, then his left leg, and then his left arm going up, and then his right arm, before his head flips back to look at the opponent. Almost as if he is like a wooden puppet being pulled up by strings.

3. The Almost-Tumble: When hit by a big move, Drago almost collapses back, but finds his footing at the last second, and rises back up as if he is unphased by the attack. Used sparingly to unnerve an opponent.

Always respects opponents to a certain degree.
